Game Design Principles

As opposed to the product design, where the main objective is to be as clear as possible and help users to get things done in the most efficient way (but of course with human touch), the main objective of game design is to create fun and put players in the flow state. Sometimes it means creating challenges and confusion for players.

Fun can come from uncertainty. It’s not very fun when you know every exact step – that’s just boring.
